Modification of Terms

AvatarShot may update these Terms when required by product changes, legal requirements, or security needs. Material updates are communicated through the platform. Continued use after publication of updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Account Requirements

Account creation is limited to Second Life residents who are at least 18 years old.

An AvatarShot account is linked to a Second Life™ avatar. Thus, you cannot create more than one account per avatar.

You are responsible for any activity occurring under your account and should notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

You cannot use someone else's account, nor sell, transfer, or assign your account to others.

AvatarShot may request identity verification through in-world OTP validation where needed for security or abuse prevention.

Intellectual Property

AvatarShot's Intellectual Property

The owner of AvatarShot holds the intellectual property rights to:

• The Brand: This includes the platform's name "AvatarShot", domain name, logo, and any slogans or catchphrases associated with the service.
• The Logo: The visual design, graphic symbol, or emblem that represents the platform is protected as a trademark.
• The Website Content: All original content created by AvatarShot, such as text, graphics, user interface, and layout, is owned by the Publisher.
• Software: The underlying code, including any apps, algorithms, LSL scripts, and functionalities developed for the platform, is the intellectual property of the Publisher.

AvatarShot does not authorize you to make use of the AvatarShot branding or marketing materials. The AvatarShot brand in whole or in part, including without limitation "AvatarShot" and its logo, remains the exclusive property of the Publisher.

End User's Intellectual Property

• Creations: Any original content created and posted by users, such as photos, videos, and artwork, remains their property.
• Writings: Blog posts, comments, reviews, and other written materials authored by users are owned by the individuals who created them.

If you are posting non-original content, make sure to have the authorization to publish it on AvatarShot.

Shared Rights and Responsibilities

Users retain ownership of their content. By publishing content on AvatarShot, users grant AvatarShot a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, adapt for technical delivery, display, and distribute that content within the service.

This license does not transfer ownership and is limited to service operation, safety review, and product functionality. AvatarShot is not a personal cloud backup service; content may be transformed into optimized technical formats for delivery.

Community Standards

To help promote respect, peace, and an enjoyable experience for all users, this set of Community Standards applies to all interaction within AvatarShot. These Standards set out actions that could result in restrictions on your access to AvatarShot, up to and including account termination.

Intolerance

The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is prohibited. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame users or groups are similarly and explicitly prohibited.

Harassment

Communicating or behaving in an offensively coarse manner, intimidating, threatening, or causing annoyance or alarm is not allowed.

Assault

Any act of violence toward a user, including an act of intimidation or bullying, will not be tolerated.

Inappropriate Content

All content, activity, and communication within AvatarShot must adhere to these Terms of Service, including, but not limited to, abiding by any limitations on the type of content permissible under the Maturity Rating. Adult Content is only permitted by using the appropriate Adult or Adult+ tag.

Disclosure

Sharing personal information about other users, either directly or indirectly, without their consent — including, but not limited to, gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual orientation, and real-world location — is not allowed.

Except for the purpose of reporting abuse or any violation of policies to AvatarShot, the remote monitoring, posting or sharing of conversations without a participant's consent is prohibited.

Impersonation

Impersonation of another user, stealing another user's identity, or claiming recognition for content created by another user are all strictly prohibited. Additionally, the impersonation of AvatarShot or its administrators will result in immediate account termination.

Taking and using media from a user without the end user's consent may result in account termination.

Enforcement

AvatarShot applies proportionate enforcement based on severity, impact, and recurrence. Measures may include warnings, content restriction, temporary suspension, or permanent termination.

Reporting Abuse

AvatarShot encourages users to report violations of the Community Standards or any other policies. AvatarShot reviews all such reports of abuse and will keep the identity of the reporter strictly confidential.

Abusive or bad-faith reporting is prohibited and may result in account sanctions.

Maturity Rating and Content

As AvatarShot is a platform dedicated to Second Life™ residents, the majority of content you publish should be directly or indirectly Second Life™ related.

Maturity Rating

All content must be assigned a rating in accordance with the Maturity Rating system. AvatarShot defines four categories:

• General (G): Content suitable for all ages. May contain mild violence, mild language, and informational or educational content. Cannot be sexually explicit, violent, or depict nudity nor show sexually oriented objects.
• Moderate (M): Non-explicit content generally suitable for users over 18. May contain some violence, strong language, and mildly sexual content so long as it does not promote adult content. Nudity for commercial purposes (e.g., product ads) may be considered Moderate.
• Adult (A): Content that displays nudity, expressly sexually themed content for the purpose of provoking or promoting sexual excitation; violence and illicit drug use.
• Adult+ (A+): Content that represents pornography: any sexual acts including solitary pleasure and fluids; or intensely violent acts such as torture or other severe bodily harm.

Your profile picture, cover image, bio section, and any public information from your profile must be under the General rating.

Real-life content under the Adult and Adult+ ratings is strictly forbidden.

Adult and Adult+ content is only viewable by logged-in users who have enabled those filters.

Commercial Content

When posting media containing vendor ads or commercial content, you must:

• Set the post as commercial content
• If the product or avatar was rendered in 3D using external software outside of Second Life™, label the post as "Render"
• If the product has been generated or altered using generative AI, label the post as "AI"

AI and Rendered Content

The Feed is primarily for Second Life™ content. Media generated or altered using generative AI or "morph" techniques on the main subject is restricted. External software edits are allowed, but the result must showcase Second Life™ content overall.

Vendor ads generated or altered using AI are allowed as long as they are labeled as such.

Marketplace

AvatarShot Marketplace allows Second Life™ creators to sell their products through the platform.

• Sellers must be the original creators of the products they list, or have explicit permission to resell.
• Product listings must accurately represent the item being sold.
• Sellers are responsible for delivering purchased items to buyers via the in-world delivery system.
• AvatarShot charges a commission on sales based on the seller's plan (Free: 8%, Pro: 3%, Business: 0%).
• Fraudulent listings, copybotted content, or stolen intellectual property will result in immediate store termination.
• Reviews must be honest. Manipulation of reviews (fake reviews, review bombing) is prohibited.
• AvatarShot acts as platform operator and is not a direct party to seller-buyer quality disputes unless required by law.
• Refund policies are determined by individual sellers unless mandatory legal provisions require otherwise.

Advertising & Featured Content

• All advertisements and featured content must comply with these Terms of Service and the Maturity Rating system.
• Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive ads will be removed without refund.
• AvatarShot reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any advertisement or featured content request.
• Featured content requests must be approved by AvatarShot administrators before going live.
• Payments for featured content are non-refundable once activation has started.
• Advertising budgets are non-refundable after campaign delivery begins, except where required by law.

Subscriptions and Payments

• Paid plans and marketplace seller plans are billed monthly in Linden Dollars (L$).
• Payments are processed in-world via L$ transfer to the designated AvatarShot account.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except where mandatory law applies.
• AvatarShot may revise pricing with at least 30 days advance notice.

Prohibited Content

Content is anything that you create, share, post or otherwise transmit that another person could see on AvatarShot. Prohibited Content may not be shared, posted or otherwise transmitted through AvatarShot under any circumstances:

• Content involving illegality, such as piracy, criminal activity, terrorism, child pornography, and illegal drug use
• Infringing or unauthorized content, such as content that you did not create or do not have permission to use
• Cruel or hateful content that could harm, harass, promote or condone violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity
• Intensely violent or graphic content that could be construed as primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or disrespectful
• Extreme gore content
• Content that promotes or could be construed as primarily intended to evade limitations on Prohibited Content
• Copybotted or stolen virtual goods
• Malware, phishing links, or any content designed to harm users' computers or accounts

You agree that you will comply with the Maturity Rating and will not display prohibited content. Repetitive offenses may have your account terminated.

Termination of Use

You can terminate your account at any time at your discretion from your account's settings.

AvatarShot reserves the right to close your account at any time, especially if you do not comply with these Terms of Service, the Community Standards, the Maturity Rating system, and the Prohibited Content rules.

Upon account termination, user content is scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations and security investigation requirements.

Limitation of Liability

AvatarShot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AvatarShot disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from use of the service.

AvatarShot is not responsible for user-generated content or private agreements between users, creators, brands, and sellers, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Italy.
